2014-10-15 19:01:11 +0000 <dysinger-linux> paf31: is there a way to extend records easy? I get that you can modify records that already had a defined attribute. I get that you can pattern match extensibly on records. I want to add an attribute to an existing record & end up with a new type - on the fly.
2014-10-15 19:01:28 +0000 <dysinger-linux> am I crazy?
2014-10-15 19:01:34 +0000 <paf31> this used to be possible
2014-10-15 19:01:45 +0000 <paf31> i think record update now keeps the type the same
2014-10-15 19:01:46 +0000 <paf31> one sec
2014-10-15 19:02:22 +0000 <paf31> yes, you can only change the type of the fields updated, not the tail
2014-10-15 19:02:39 +0000 <paf31> i think i removed it because it was leading to some odd type errors
2014-10-15 19:04:58 +0000 <dysinger-linux> k
2014-10-15 19:05:31 +0000 <dysinger-linux> so if I got the object from js, it must go back to js to update
2014-10-15 19:06:39 +0000 <dysinger-linux> if I want to add an attribute
2014-10-15 19:06:52 +0000 <dysinger-linux> hmm
2014-10-15 19:07:09 +0000 <paf31> lenses?
2014-10-15 19:07:24 +0000 <paf31> you need to copy the fields by hand sadly
